Rant Of The Day is where I get to mouth off about whatever I feel like for however long I like. Theoretically, I'll update my whinge/opinion piece every weekday; in practice, maybe not so often.

More on the joys of trains

• People who get on an escalator at the station and stand on the right hand side and won't keep walking;
• People who stop and have a chat in the middle of the stairwell while you're racing to catch the last train;
• People who try and sit in the two-and-a-half person seats at either end of Tangara carriages when there are already two people sitting in them;
• People who look at you every time you put something in your bag with that 'Come on,. leave your seat, I want to sit down' look on their faces;
• People who smoke until just before they get on the train;
• Prams. (Some things just keep on sucking.)
