Rant Of The Day is where I get to mouth off about whatever I feel like for however long I like. Theoretically, I'll update my whinge/opinion piece every weekday; in practice, maybe not so often.

Public transport: laying down the law

• People who line themselves up with the doors of an arriving train and remain immovable, although they're not planning to catch the next train coming in, or even the one after that;
• People who wander mindlessly onto the platform and try and barge their way onto a train before everyone on it has got off, ignoring the patiently queueing commuters at the side;
• People who let their children scream for more than 10 seconds at a time;
• People who think that my collar is an acceptable substitute for a handrail;
• Prams.
