TANGLED LOVE TRIANGLE

She wanted to shield his wife from the truth but it all backfired

Well, that'll learn the strumpet, won't it? This is a nice twist on the 'I was screwing my best friend's/sister's boyfriend/husband/mountain goat' genre that Woman's Day knows and loves. In this instance, the friend spots hubby with another woman, he knows she knows, he pleads with her not to tell wifey, wifey ends up suspecting friend and hubby are rubbing genitals in a non-regulated manner. Still, you get that.

Nice tale overall, but it's a bitch to illustrate. The male, of course, is wearing a red shirt, and holding a packet of chocolates wrapped in paper with red on it. Her shirt is so tasteless, the red triangles on it are all but lost. What's disturbing is the absence of an image of the wounded wife, staring insolently at her husband or openly sobbing into a handkerchief (which perhaps had better not be red). Attention to detail is vital, especially when the headline is so lame.
