Rant Of The Day is where I get to mouth off about whatever I feel like for however long I like. Theoretically, I'll update my whinge/opinion piece every weekday; in practice, maybe not so often.

The burger king

It's time, and I'm not Gough Whitlam. McDonald's current 'special offer' burger is a heavy-on-the-meat-and-sauce concoction known as the Beefmeister. Hungry Jacks is simultaneously flogging a double cheeseburger. Neither of these particularly stuns me, and what really hurts is the lack of difference between them. Sure, the Hungry Jacks one tastes better, but in the end a big hunk of 'meat' whacked between two slices of bread with a lot of sauce and cheese is a big hunk of 'meat' whacked between two slices of bread with a lot of sauce and cheese. Hopefully, one of them will wake up soon and bring in a more differentiated product offering. I say: bring back the El Maco.
