Milly-Molly-Mandy Makes A Cosy

From Milly-Molly-Mandy Stories (1928)

SUMMARY: Miss Muggins inspires Milly-Molly-Mandy to make a tea-cosy for her mother from some red satin, green ribbon, a skein of black silk, coloured cord, lavender ribbon and a blue tie with yellow spots.

Jilly's role as a very minor friend (she never speaks any words other than "Goodbye") is established. The 'scrimp and save' economy which permeates the books is particularly apparent in this chapter.
