Milly-Molly-Mandy Spends a Penny

From Milly-Molly-Mandy Stories (1928)

SUMMARY: Milly-Molly-Mandy manages to grow mustard-and-cress, knit a kettle-holder, bake a cake, buy some sweets and save up to buy a duckling, all with a single penny.

At the end of this story, Milly-Molly-Mandy gets a "little yellow baby duckling". Presumably, this duckling is off the scene by the time of Milly-Molly-Mandy and Dum-dum, when Milly-Molly-Mandy makes friends with someone else's duck.
