Ruth Rendell appeared with her good friend P.D. James at the 2004 Cheltenham Literature Festival. As well as this major appearance, Rendell also participated in the 'Age On The Page' reading at 5:30pm on the same date, spending about 15 minutes reading works written by elderly people from the area, collated especially for the occasion by Age Concern.After the reading, Rendell agreed to a signing session; the pictures below are from that session. I'm no photographer, clearly, but at least they provide a record of the occasion!
